In 2016, Darren Caulfield, a single father of three beautiful children wanted to create a private, safe, and neutral environment for parents and families who are going through difficult times to spend time with their children.
Darren, together with his mother, Pamela Caulfield, who has over 30 years of experience working in the Indigenous, migrant, and community services sector, established Lilly Pilly to meet this need.
Both Pamela and Darren are Qualified Justices of the Peace, JP (Qual) and hold several other qualifications.
Darren is also a Nationally Accredited Mediator, Accredited with the Australian Mediation Association and a Parenting Coordinator with Parenting Coordination Australia. see www.darrencaulfield.com.au
In 2018, Phil Benjamin, a father of three lovely girls, joined the Lilly Pilly team.
With his legal background, Phil brings valuable skills to complement the services provided by Lilly Pilly. see www.philbenjamin.com.au
Leigh Bennett joined the Lilly Pilly team in 2022. Leigh is an IT and Social Media Specialist and has been invaluable with her IT knowledge and in developing the Lilly Pilly Training and Social Media systems.
Coming from a separated family, Leigh was passionate about helping children of separated families keep connected to their biological mum and dad.
The inspiration of Lilly Pilly is Lilly McEldowney (nee. Caulfield). Lilly’s mum and dad separated when she was very young. Lilly was the original child representative on the Lilly Pilly Board.
Lilly Pilly is very proud to have a ‘child representative’ in our constitution who sits on our board and as a representative of the separated families.
